Castello dei Solaro: Monasterolo of Savigliano

The 13th-century fortress of Monasterolo di Savigliano dates back to 1241, commissioned by Tommaso I di Saluzzo. The austere and iconic exterior of the building, which today houses the municipal offices, encloses rooms that have been revised and decorated with great taste over the centuries. The so-called “Sala d’Oro” (Golden Hall), in exquisite Rococo style, can be considered the jewel in the crown of the palace, a magnificent setting in which to experience the most romantic of moments.
