Complex of the Convento di Santa Croce

The Dominican Church and Convent of Santa Croce in Bosco Marengo is one of the greatest monuments of 16th century religious history and art in Italy. The complex is the result of an ambitious project by Pope Pius V Ghislieri (1566-1572), who was born in Bosco Marengo: the prestige of the commission is reflected in the value of the architecture and works of art, among whose authors we cannot fail to mention Giorgio Vasari and Moncalvo.

The convent includes numerous buildings and two cloisters: after having been a juvenile prison for a while, major restoration work began at the end of the 20th century, which resulted in many of the spaces hosting international events relating to the Word Political Forum chaired by Michail Gorbachev.

Such a varied background resulted in the creation of extremely diverse spaces and environments, which the bride and groom will be able to appreciate in all their diversity: from the lavish church of Santa Croce, perfect for a grand celebration, to the small romantic cloister and the vast monumental halls such as the Library, not to mention the conference spaces. Guests will be amazed by the spectacular architecture and the beauty of the works of art, thus truly feeling part of great history.
